The grapes used for the Amethyst derives from dryland bush vines in the Swartland. After malolactic fermentation these cultivars were all individually barrel matured for 14 months in new 225 litre French oak
Dark red almost purple colour. The dark colour and concentration is typical of the Swartland area. Aromas of black currants, and dark cherries. Distinct dark fruit flavours. The wine has a good length with a dry finish.
