The AA Badenhorst Secateurs rosé is an interesting version of this style of wine as it is made from the unusual combination of Cinsaut, Shiraz and Grenache Noir, and also because it was created from very old vines. The Grenache vines, for instance, were planted way back in 1951. This rosé shows an abundance of minerality that truly typifies the wines from this estate. Whiffs of complex red fruits, rose water, currants and spice fill the nose. The appetising palate exhibits much texture and ends in a drawn-out, satisfying finish.
